Dress Theory: "The Woodlands" by Lela Rose

The Woodlands by Lela Rose is an absolutely stunning and sophisticated lace gown featuring a low back and a cascading detachable train. The breathtaking embroidered levers lace creates such a romantic feel for the gown and the detachable embroidered tulle watteau will provide the perfect jaw dropping look for walking down the aisle. It is easy to see why our Nashville bridal shop loves this gown and why we believe it deserves a feature spot in our "Dress Theory" column.

For the Southern bride, we suggest wearing the gown with the detachable train included during the ceremony. We love the romantic look that would be accomplished by pairing a stunning silk tulle cathedral length veil and a small pair of diamond stud earrings.

At the reception, our Nashville bridal stylists would suggest removing the train and veil and adding a stunning vine headpiece from Erin Cole.

We caught up with Inside Weddings who described the felinity of Lela Rose's newest collection, including the Woodlands, as youthful, timeless and feminine.

The timeless and feminine designs of the Lela Rose Spring 2016 Bridal Collection are inspired by the work of Scottish illustrator Jessie M. King. The handcrafted matelassé, corded lace, and crystal dusted embroidery of the collection evoke a youthful aura.

Lela Rose elaborated further on her collection, including the Woodlands, for us - stating that she was inspired by children's drawings.

[The] Bridal Collection lends itself to the early 19th century pulling inspiration from Scottish illustrator, Jessie M. King. King was widely recognized for her unique children’s drawings most specifically her intricate ink work. Timeless and feminine, the collection features corded lace, crystal dusted embroidery, and hand crafted matelassé. Youthful yet romantic, the collection evokes a soft, enchanting feeling.

White Dresses Co-Founder and Nashville Bridal Shop Owner, Kara Leonard, shared why she loves The Woodlands gown by Lela Rose.

As soon as I saw this gown, my jaw dropped. The delicate levers lace is romantic and the illusion neckline is so feminine. I absolutely adore the fit of the gown - as it is comfortable and fitted without being too overtly sexy. My favorite part of the gown, though, is the back - which is absolutely stunning and provides the bare back that so many girls are seeking in their bridal gown.
